'92 Squadron RAF is a historic and very famous RAF fighter squadron, who primarily fought in the East Indian campaigns during World War Two. Being a squadron that received many modern aircraft first, 92 Squadron was the first RAF squadron to receive the Spitfire Mk.Vb whilst they were posted to the middle east against Rommel's forces. From the Second World War, they then received the Gloster Meteor, the American built F-86 Sabre, the Hawker Hunter, the English Electric Lightning and the F-4J (UK) Phantom II. Today, they focus on training and tactics element of Aerial Warfare.'
